Another day, another night... If the nights weren't so long I think I could make it through the days. The loneliness is so much harder to deal with at 3 am, but it's the rejection that always gets me in the end. The pain is wrenching. It cut deeper tonight than it has in a long, long time. Do more than tell me that love me. Show me. You know I understand.

Working my Ticket

One of my Wood Badge ticket items is to make a sortable merit badge counselor list. What I originally thought would be an easy task has become a nightmare! Getting an updated list after the district merger proved to be difficult. Then when I did get one - the district we are merging with did get rechartered last June. Getting those folks to understand the recharter process was a whole lot of trouble! Now that I've finally gotten them on board - it's time again for recharter. Yikes! And to top it all off - BSA announced a new policy effective 6/1/10 - all registered leaders will need to have current youth protection training. So it's totally conceivable that I'll have it all done here shortly to have a significant number not get rechartered! Ugh!

Got a call from my new dentist yesterday - my flippers are in and they are ready to begin my extensive dental work. I've been putting this off for years - I'm thinking at least seven - cuz I was so freaked out at the thought of it. Now that I've changed dental offices, I'm thinking that much of my hesitation came from my discomfort with the office and the office staff. I dunno could be that I'm just ready to get it over with. Only problem with moving the appointment up 12 days is that Ken cannot get the day off to come with me. I know he's worried for me.

My dear friend Daphne is able to go with me - me thinks she'll be getting a wonderful red shawl as a thank you! Now I just have to decide what pattern - I'm thinkin Swallowtail with beads in place of nupps! Silver-lined crystal - her fav!

Been hangin out on Ravelry and You Tube this morning and now it's time to get ready to head into work. I can't believe that I don't have a meeting tonight or tomorrow night! Thursday is the District Committee meeting - and then I'm free for a whole week! I'm so glad the year is winding down!

On Rav I was enjoying some on Y&R pics that had been posted of the cast over the years and of course hanging out with the Mal-Swap Gals. I don't know what made me think of lookin for this... I was such a fan! <3

Let's Give This Another Go....

I haven't blogged since I stopped using Typepad. And it's been quite a while... so much is going on around here - I think I'm gonna give it another go.

Today is Tina's 16th birthday. Tina being Dylan's sweetie of a girlfriend. This girl has absolutely changed my son and I simply adore her for that! I think I'll start referring to his high school years in terms of "BT" and "AT"! LOL! "BT" or Before Tina, he could care less about homework or grades. "Why should I have to do homework if I'm getting an A on the stuff we do in class? The teacher should know that I know it!" Can you imagine what type of grade an entire year of virtually no homework adds up to? Not so swell, let me tell you. And removal of valued objects, computers, threats, cajoling, everything short of a public caning couldn't change my hard-headed son's ways. Then came Tina. Now home work is done. Grades are fantistic! All to please Tina!

Happy Birthday Tina! I hope that Dylan treats you well.
